Cerdagne
The Cerdagne ( Catalan Cerdanya in ) is a trough fault located in the east of the solid mass of the the Pyrenees. Of a surface of 1 086,07 km ², this area natural are shared by the Spain to 50,3% and by the France to 49,7%.
In 2001, the inhabitants of Cerdagne were 26 500, including 53,4% in Spain and 46,6% in France. With a density of 24 inhabitants per km ² the area one of most slightly is thus populated Western Europe. The only agglomeration of Cerdagne is the transborder city of Puigcerdà - Borough-Madam: 10 900 inhabitants in 2001.

The Spanish part of Cerdagne is an administrative entity of Catalogne: the comarca of Baixa Cerdanya .
In accordance with the Treated of Llivia (1660), the Spanish Enclave of Llivia belongs to the Low-Cerdagne but its territory is wedged in the French department of the the Eastern Pyrenees.
