Cephalic curve

The cephalic curve is the first inflection of the brain to be appeared during the development of the human embryo. Between the fourth and the fifth week, the Prosencéphale is inclined in ventral direction to finish under the Mésencéphale. The cephalic curve is one of the three curves to be appeared for the period of the fourth at the eighth week, the two others being the curves cervical and pontine. It occupies at one time of the development the position of the top of the head and constitutes the mesencephalic proéminance.
