Catalog Hipparcos

The catalogs Hipparcos is a Catalog of stars resulting from the astrometrical space mission Hipparcos diligentée by the European space agency. The satellite functioned between November 1989 and March 1993 and made it possible to obtain the Parallaxe of 118.218 star S close relations with an accuracy of one millisecond of arc, the celestial coordinates are expressed there in the reference frame ICRS.

Description

The Catalog of stars contains astrometrical data and photometric of utmost precision for a great number of stars:

coordinated equatorial;
own Movement;
Parallax;
magnitude S in the spectral bands B, V and I.

Appendices also list:

24.588 multiple stars and give the orbital parameters for a small number of them;
8254 variable stars;
of the astrometrical and photometric data concerning the Sun.
