Castle located on the commune of the Crib-on-Saone in Saône-et-Loire.

Description

Construction

  • Access to the court by a flanked gate of two circular turrets.
  • the castle includes/understands three buildings in " U" ; with the S, a turn-porch, two buildings and two towers circular; in the center the principal main building; with the NR, a gross square tower and stables for which another main building was substituted.

Outside

  • Terraces decorated with statues and cut yews, landscaped garden and water part.

  • 12th century ............. possession of the family of Headland
  • 1516 .................... sold with Antoine Bernard , middle-class man of Mâcon
  • 1661 .................... sold with Pierre Particelli , treasurer of France in the General information of Lyon
  • 1746 .................... after several sales, the castle falls to Vincent Palerne , also treasurer of France
  • 1845 .................... legacies with the Maristes which establish a noviciate there then a teacher training school
  • 1868 .................... the Marists yield the field to Ladislas-Jules de Beaussier but its widow does not preserve it
