Castle of Gataudière

The castle of Gataudière is located at Marennes in Charente-Maritime, was built in 1749 by François Fresneau of Gataudière.

history

  • the stronghold of Gataudière dates at least from the 14th century returned consent for the stronghold in 1367.

structure

  • with dimensions garden a terrace masks the base. The pediment is carved of a " triumph over flore"
  • the furniture of the castle is of origin: Louis XIII - Regency - Louis XV. The central the stone woodworks and living room present decorations characteristic of the 18th century

visits

  • open the every day of 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00 (17h the winter)
  • it is opened to the visitors and proposes play activities and sporting: châteaubranche Adventure (park of tree out of tree: course of 1m to 14 meters in height, 3:00 of absolutely brilliant adventure), a paintball on 6 grounds (nature palete speed ball labyrinth etc) and of the hiring of quads for adults and children.
  • It is also used as reception for the marriages or other festivals.
