The Château of Combe is located on the commune of Prissé in Saône-et-Loire, with side of slope, on a terrace dominating the Grosne.

Description

Preceded by a vast court limited by stables, commun runs and a tinailler, the castle is made of a rectangular central body between two wings into light advanced on the Western frontage. The central span, crowned of a triangular pediment, is bored of a door which surmounts a shelter framing an oval oculus. On both sides of the castle, draw up themselves, insulated, two square houses. That of the S shelters a chapelle.

The castle is a Private property and does not visit itself.

History

  • 17th century: the field is set up in stronghold, undoubtedly for François Barjot , lawyer with the Parlement of Paris

  • 1712: the son of the precedent, Jacques-Marie Barjot , inherits the property
  • 1750: Jacques-Marie Barjot , then mayor of Mâcon, made there build a castle
  • second half of the 18th century: Brice Barjot , successor of the precedent, rather resides at Paris
  • 1811: Brice-Alexis Barjot , which had succeeded in preserving the intact residence during the revolutionary period, sells it to his/her son-in-law, Pierre-Marie Chappuis de Maubou
  • 1822: the precedent resells field with the baron of the Small towers
  • 1845: the baron makes transformations on the frontage E
  • 1901: acquisition by Mr. de Boisset-Clavière
