Castle of Chimay
Located in Wallonia (Belgium), on a rock headland dominating the valley of the White Water, the castle of Chimay would be a medieval construction whose old origin could not be given with precision. Indeed, this one would have, following certain old chronicles, summer built about the year 1000, with the same site as a Donjon around whose several turns and an enclosure would have been high during the XIII {{E}} and 14th centuries.

At the 19th century, the known castle one happier period under the impulse of the prince François Joseph de Riquet de Caraman, who made carry out necessary works to repair the many degradations made during the previous centuries.
