Castle located on the commune of Saint-Leger-of-Wood in Saône-et-Loire, with side of coteau.

Description

Construction

  • It remains castle of origin only one main door and a square tower.
  • the monumental door, which ordered a Pont-levis, is crowned of Mâchicoulis; two drain-holes were arranged on both sides.
  • In the prolongation of the door, the tower, high of a stage, comprises a big room with a chimney; a square turret was coupled to him.
  • In 1739, the field is described as follows:
" The seigneurial field of Champsigny consists in the castle exclusively… other buildings in the low court and at the village for the sharecroppers, in the buildings of the miller, of the mill beater and oil mill more in 260 arable land newspapers and in 134 soitures 3/4 of prey, more in the taxable quotas and revenues silver which assemble to 24 books 9 grounds 9 sums of money, two measurements roofs of wheat, a third of measurement of oats, measures of Autun, and in the annual and accidental general rights cy after expliqués."
