Castle of Bâthie
The castle of Bâthie is a building dating from the feudal era (12th century - 15th century centuries) located at the top of the Leysse, into low Tarentaise. It constitutes a vestige of the feudal fortress of the 13th century.
History
At the court of the 13th century, about 1263, the archbishop's palace local decided the transfer of the canons to Moûtiers. Where today the sector of Albertville is, a conflict between the Count de Savoie and the archbishop, created atour of rights that all two have on the sector of Cléry. Thus the archbishop's palace eager to sit its authority on this space territorial and regarding itself as threatened by advanced the comtales, made the decision to set up the castle of Bâthie into low Tarentaise around of which it entirely reorganized a Châtellenie. It also benefitted from it to attach Cléry to this news châtellenie archiépiscopale for the men and the goods depending on him.
