Carniole
The Carniole (in Slovenien Kranjska , in German Krain ) is an area of the Slovenia in the North-West of the Slovenien capital Ljubljana. The principal city of Carniole is Kranj. It includes/understands the alpine valleys of the Sava river which there draws its source, and those its first affluents. Between 1809 and 1814, Carniole was one of the Provinces illyriennes created by Napoleon Bonaparte.
