Carlo Urbino

Carlo Urbino da Crema (Creamed, 1525 - after 1585) is an Italian painter Maniériste trained in Venezia whose formation was supplemented by a voyage to Rome.

In 1553, it illustrates it Trattato di scientia of weapon of Camillo Agrippa and constitutes a repertory of decorative drawings and figures for various projects.

Its first documented work of 1556 is the retable it Commiato di Cristo paved Madre per Santa Maria in San Celso of Milan, and the frescos for the same church.

In 1560, it decorates the vault with the large Taverna chancellor to Santa Maria della Passione (a time decorated dun crucifix with Giulio Campi), and decorations of the organ case.

In the years 1560, it joins Bernardino Campi, for projects of retables, it collaborates in the execution of the Trasfigurazione for San Fedele (1565). From these years goes back the Incredulità di San Tommaso (Pinacothèque to Brera) and it provides also drawings for the stained glasses of the dome of Milan.

In the following decade, it paints with fresco the Cappellina degli Angeli in Sant' Eustorgio, Pentecoste in the Milanese church of San Marco and, with Aurelio Luini, the apse of the church Madonna di Campagna with Pallanza.

It returns to Crema then where it book a retable to Santa Maria della Croce , and leaves even to Sabbioneta to carry out certain frescos of the first six books of the Énéide to the studiolo of the residence of Vespasiano Gonzaga Colonna.
