Carl Miles
Carl Miles , born Carl Emil Wilhelm Andersson , wire of the lieutenant Emil " Mille" Andersson and of Walborg Tisell , born the June 23rd 1875, dead the September 19th 1955 with Lidingö, Stockholm, is a sculptor Swedish. Married in 1905 with Olga Miles and brother of Ruth Miles.
In 1897 it came to Paris and studied the sculpture in the workshop of Auguste Rodin.
He lived Millesgården, which is a Musée today. Carl Milles is the author of the statue of Poséidon to Gothenburg, of the statue of Gustav Vasa with the Scandinavian Musée and of the group Orphée outside Stockholm Concert Hall.
