Carl Heinrich Merck is a Médecin, a Naturaliste and an exploring German, born in 1761 and died in 1799.

Fifty years after Georg Wilhelm Steller (1709-1746), he visits the Aleutian Islands in 1787 - 1790. An English edition of the newspaper of its forwarding appears in 1980 pennies the title of Siberia and northwestern America, 1788-1792: the newspaper off Carl Heinrich Merck, naturalist with Russian scientific forwarding led by Captains Joseph Billings and Gavriil Sarychev .
