Care with the magic creatures

The care with the magic creatures (SCM) is one of the Matières studied with the college Poudlard, the School of magic of the saga Harry Potter.

The course of Care to the Magic Creatures consists of the study of the various magic creatures: their aspect (to be ready to recognize them), their lifestyle (troops, solitary animal,…), their place of life, their food…

In this course, the pupils learn sometimes how to deal with certain creatures or to describe them.

This course passes much by the practice: the contact with the creatures.

The professors who officiated between 1958 and 1998 are:

Professor Brûlopot (English Kettleburn)

Professor Brûlopot is the first known professor. He taught of 1958 to 1992.

Rubeus Hagrid

Rubeus Hagrid is the current professor. It is not an exemplary professor, in spite of what Harry and Ron évertue to be said some, in the name of their friendship. It has a very marked taste for the magic creatures dangerous or delicate to handle! Let us take for example Norbert, the Norwegian with peak born at Hagrid, of an egg gained with the play. Extremely fortunately, the dragons being prohibited, it did not present it to its pupils! Another example: the Scroutts in Pétards, of a rather delicate handling; or Buck the hypogriffe. Hagrid is very appreciated of its pupils thanks to his sympathy, except obviously by the Serpentard.

Wilhelmina Gobe-Board (English Grubbly-Plank)

the Professor Wilhelmina Gobe-Board is a replacing professor. It appears several times in the saga as replacing of Hagrid. All the pupils are of agreement to say that it is a very good professor, but our three heroes think of course that nothing is worth Hagrid. It is specialist in the Licorne S.
