Capitaine Planet then the New Adventures of Captain Planet ( Captain Planet and the Planeteers then The New Adventures off Captain Planet ) is a Televised series of American Animation , in 113 episodes 25 minutes, created by Ted Turner, produced by Jane Fonda and Nicholas Boxer and diffused between the September 15th 1990 and the May 11th 1996 on the network TBS. In France, the series was diffused starting from 1991 on Canal+. In Belgium, the series is diffused on Club RTL.
Synopsis
Gaia, the goddess of the environment, cannot any more protect the Planet from the dangers of the many pollutants which sow toxic waste on the world. It thus decides to recruit five courageous teenagers coming from the four corners of the world to help it to defend the Ground dangers which threaten it. These guards name the “Planet gears”. Gaia gives to them to each one a ring with a precise capacity. Kwame which comes from South Africa has the capacity of the ground, Wheeler comes from the United States and holds that of fire, Linka as for it comes from Russia and has the capacity of the wind, Gi comes from Asia and has the capacity of water and finally My-Ti which comes to him from South America has that of the heart. With their capacities they fight the pollutants but if their single forces cannot come to end from those from the evil, they can by combining all their capacities to call upon the Captain Planet who with his power can reduce to nothing any toxic and enemy threat.
