Capitolium
The Capitolium is the south-western part of the hill of the Capitole, separated from the septentrional part, the Colline of Arx, by a depression, the intermontum .
One regards the Capitolium as the Capitole itself, because Capitolium means Capitole in Latin.
This part of the hill is surrounded by stiff cliffs of which the Roche tarpéienne from where the traitors were thrown. The southern part of the Capitole culminates with approximately 45 meters.
