Canadian commission of corn
The Canadian Commission of corn (CCB) was established by the Parlement of Canada in 1935 to be used as system of marketing by the producers of Blé and Orge. Its head office is with Winnipeg (Manitoba).
The goal of the Commission of corn is to equalize the conditions of competition for all the producers. The farmers deliver their grain according to schedules regulated. The Commission acts as an agent of Marketing for all the céréaliculteurs, who receive a temporary payment and a final payment which depends on the prices and the sales totals.
According to his official Web site, the CCB controls 20% of the exchanges of corn and barley on the international market, making of it " the most important organization of sale of corn and barley in the monde."
