Old commune of the Yrénées-Atlantiques, the commune of Camou-Mixes-Suhast existed of 1842 to 1972. It was created in 1842 by the fusion of the communes of Camou-Mixes and of Suhast. In 1972 it was attached to the commune of Aïcirits, whose noun was modified in 1984 to take again part of the name of this old commune. From now on, it is called Aïcirits-Camou-Suhast.
