Calliope (label of music)

Calliope is a traditional Label of music French.

It was founded in 1971 with Compiegne by Jacques Calvé.

Specialized initially in the music of Organ, it records in particular the integral of Johann Sebastian Bach for this instrument by André Isoir. Its hundredth disc leaves in 1977 and its current catalog comprises nearly 300 references.

Its most important artists are André Isoir, the Quatuor Talich, André Navarra, Louis Thiry…
