Calendar maconnic

The Année of the True Light - Ass Latin Lucis in - would be due to James Usher, prelate Anglican born in 1580 with Dublin, which used a supposed chronology to begin with the Création from the world according to the Genèse, estimated with 4000 av. J. - C. He thus thought of founding an absolute scale of time.

The Pasteur Anderson recommended it in its '' Constitutions '' of 1723 symbolically to affirm the universality of masonry by adopting a chronology presumedly independent of particularisms monk, at the very least in the British context of the time.

The maconnic year with the same length that the Gregorian year but begins on March 1st. It takes then the Millésime of this one, increased of 4000.
