The Committee of data for Science and Technology (or CODATA ), created in 1966, is in interdisciplinary committee of the International counsel for science (ICSU). Its objective is to improve the collection, the critical evaluation, and the access to the scientific data and technological major.

The CODATA recommends a list of values of constant fundamental physics. There already were 4 publications, in 1973,1986,1998 and 2002.
