The standard CEI 61000 entitled electromagnetic Compatibilité (CEM) is one of the bulky publications of CEI.
Certain parts were made compulsory from there in the European Union by the Directive 89/336/CEE , revised 2004/108/CE , under name IN 61000 , then, according to the rule, retranscribed in the national rights under names such as BS EN 61000 with the the United Kingdom, NF EN 61000 in France, etc
The application of these directives is obligatory to profit from the Marquage THIS and thus to have the right to market the products concerned in the European Union.
