By-product

A by-product is a product Résidu which appears during the manufacture or the distribution of an end product. It is nonintentional, nonforeseeable, and accidental. It can be used directly or to constitute an ingredient of another production process for the manufacture of another end product.

One should not confuse by-product and Coproduit
