Bushmanland

The Bushmanland was a autonomous Bantoustan located in the East of the Namibia. It gathered African of the Ethnie Bochiman.

History

Bushmanland was created according to the Commission Report Odendaal of 1964.

It was reinstated in Namibia in May 1989 in the new administrative area of Otjozondjupa.

Geography

The Capitale of Bushmanland was Tsumkwe which counted 550 inhabitants in 2001.

The territory of the Bantustan was located at the North of the Kalahari Desert .

The vegetation is made up of a Savane strewn with trees (Acacia S, baobab trees, etc) sprinkled by rather weak Précipitation S. the tropical Climat is characterized by a rain season during the southern winter.
