Busdriver
Busdriver , of its true name Regan Farquhar , is a MC of the scene underground of Los Angeles. It is known for its Flow fast, flexible and with the influences Free jazz.
Busdriver starts to grate very young person and begins in the middle of the years 1990 in the “open mic'” (literally: “micro open”) of Project Blowed, platform open created to Los Angeles by the MC Aceyalone of Freestyle Fellowship and Hard Abstract of Single Tribe Abstract. Busdriver becomes about it an assiduous follower and an enthusiastic defender like he it clamp high and strong on explicit the “Blowed Anthem” drawn from the Lost Angels EP of the Californian producer Daddy Kev.
2001 will have to be waited until to off discover the exit of its first album Memoirs the Elephant Man : album solo where it profits from many contributions of members of Project Blowed, in particular that of Fat Jack (producing near to the Freestyle Fellowship) or interventions of rappeurs such as Riddlore or Rifleman Ellay Khule. Busdriver will carry out then two new albums solos: initially This Machine Kills Fashion Tips , rather unperceived past, then the famous Temporary Forever . It is on the latter album that it will sign its first success “Imaginary Places” which appears in the Video game: Tony Hawk' S Underground (2003).
Since 2003, Busdriver carried out several albums in collaboration with other personalities of the American scene hip-hop underground; in particular The Weather with the producer Daedelus and the rappor Radioinactive of the Shape Shifters. One also owes him in 2004 one of the albums of the Jazz triptych/Hip-Hop of Daddy Kev: Cosmic Cleavage .
These albums were an unexpected success in Europe. Busdriver is besides the spearhead of a British label: Big Hobby-horse, die hip-hop of Ninja Tune.
2005 will have seen the return of Californian to its sources with the exit of a new album Fear off has Black Tangent on its own label: Temporary Whatever . This same year, Busdriver turned to France to the sides of the Parisian group of hip-hop including all taxes.
