Buddhism as Slovenia

The Bouddhisme is a recognized religion in a legal way in Slovenia and is followed by more than 1,000 Sloveniens, although no official number is established since the last census did not include specific Buddhism of manner. Although not very many (Slovenia comprises however only 2 million inhabitants), Buddhism as Slovenia profits from a broad acceptance, if not popularity.

Like the majority of the European countries, various branches and schools of Buddhism are represented by groups of various sizes. The principal traditions represented are the Mahayana and the Vajrayana. There is a Bouddhiste temple with Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

As Slovenia the qualified administration dealing with the religions is the “governmental office of the religious communities of the Republic of Slovenia”, and a lately approved regulation took seat in 2007.

In agreement with many sociologists of the religions, the Bouddhisme is the religion developing in the fastest way in Slovenia.
