Buckle of Baoulé
The Boucle of Baoulé is located in the areas of Kayes and Koulikoro, in the South-west of the Mali.
At this place, the Baoulé, affluent of the river Senegal, form a loop. The presence of many permanent water points attracts a fauna diversified, in particular during the dry season, from October at May.
The reserve of the Loop of Baoulé was created in 1982. It includes/understands the National park of the Loop of Baoulé, made up of three blocks forming the central zone of the reserve of Biosphere (Fina, Kongossambougou and Badinko) contiguous at the buffer zone limited by a surface of transition and adjacent natural reserves made up from classified forests.
This area has an important archaeological inheritance with more than 200 listed sites.
