History

At the end of third century BC, Brusc was a counter massaliote installed by Greeks of Phocée who had founded Massalia (Marseilles) three centuries before.

Then, it became an establishment on a sea route very attended between Nikaïa (Nice), Antipolis (Antibes), Olbia (Hyères) and Tauroeïs (Six-Furnaces it Brusc).

Today, it is a small village of fishermen and an estival station where it makes good things in life.

It shelters in particular the festival of music the Voices of Gaou.
