Brugmann hospital

C.H.U. Brugmann is a Hôpital of Brussels, divided into three sites:

  • the site Victor Horta, the hospital of origin, created by the architect Victor Horta, is located at the n° 4 of the Place Van Gehuchten, in 1020 Brussels (Laeken). Single fact: its suburban structure and its superb park of 18 hectares raised gardens.
  • the site Paul Brien, located at the n° 36 of the Street of the Schaerbeekois Hearth, in 1030 Brussels. The hospital of Schaerbeek, renamed " Hospital Paul Brien" in October 1976, joined on July 1st, 1999 " The hospital Association of Brussels and Schaerbeek - CHU Brugmann". It becomes the site " Paul Brien".
  • the site Queen Astrid, located on the second floor of the military hospital of Neder-Over-Heembeek. Specialized in the field of the readjustment, these four units are made up of the old site " Rene Magritte" , located at Jette, and of the Center of Heysel-Brugmann Readjustment.

These sites shelter other specialized units:

  • the University hospital Of the Children Queen Fabiola (H.U.D.E.R.F.) and the Center of Traumatology and Readjustment (C.T.R.) are on the campus of the site Victor Horta. The Department of the Health care Evelyne Anspach, school of nurses and obstreticians of the High School Francisco Ferrer is also on the campus. The site Victor Horta also shelters the Medical Fondation Queen Elizabeth, superb building turn-key by the architect Henry Lacoste in 1933. This last currently shelters the laboratories of clinical biology.
  • the site Paul Brien includes/understands sixth team SMUR (emergency Medical department and of Reanimation) of the Bruxelloise area. She was born in February 2003.
