Broken April

April Broken is a novel of Ismail Kadaré published in 1980, adapted to the cinema in 1985 by Kujtim Çashku, then in 2001 by Walter Salles.

Summary

In Albania, the Gjorg young person inherits a old vendetta forty years: he must kill a man, then to subject itself in his turn with a new vendetta. To escape from it, it can take refuge in a " turn of claustration".

In parallel, an young groom in honeymoon, revolted by this ancestral law, involves herself in the tradition.
