It recut also about the évêché of Valves, which had succeeded the old Armorican city of Vénètes and to which one gives the name of Vannetais or Bro-Gwened into Breton. The names of Vannetais and Broërec were used jointly. Since the XIXe century, the limits of these divisions merged and the town of Valves cumulates the seat of each one.Miniatures of XVe century exits of the " old stories of Romains" (BNF ms Fr 64) give for emblem to this country a sown white flag of tails of hermines on which is posed a notched Red Cross (blasonné of hermine to the endentée cross of mouths).
