British Guyana
The British Guyana was old a British colony located on the northern coast of the South America, from now on the nation independent of the Guyana.
The territory was originally colonized by the Netherlands (colonies of Essequibo, Demerara and Berbice). These three colonies were captured by the British army in 1796, officially yielded to the United Kingdom in 1814 and consolidated in a single colony in 1831. The territory became independent on May 26th, 1966.
