Breuilaufa

Breuilaufa ( Lo Bruèlh in Fag in Occitan) is a common French, located in the department of the High-Vienna and the area the Limousin. Its inhabitants is called Breuilaufais.

It is a village of the north of the High-Vienna. It counts approximately 130 inhabitants. One can see there a Romance church, mainly known for his gold statue of the Virgin to the Child (currently in exposure to the Municipal Museum of Limoges), as well as a commandery of the Templiers partially restored.

The name Breuilaufa comes from the breuil to the fairies , that is to say the forest with the fairies. It is told that two peasants saw one evening of the fairies in the forest of the commune.

She saw her elementary school closing a few years ago, with the profit of those of the common neighbors of Cieux, Chamboret and Berneuil.
