Breg

The Breg is longest of the two brooks which are linked to form the the Danube (the other is the Brigach). It deaf to 1078 m of altitude in the solid mass of the Black Forest close to Furtwangen. Its source is the true source of the Danube because Breg is a little longer than Brigach. It is a natural site. After a course of 49 km, it joined Brigach with Donaueschingen, beginning of the large river which traverses all Europe before throwing in the Black Sea.

The Bassin pouring of Breg covers a surface of 291,2 km ²; the source is to a hundred meters of the Watershed between the Rhine and the Danube. It is only with 200 meters that the source of another brook is, the Elz, whose water will join, by the Rhine, the the North Sea.
