Breda

Breda is a city Dutchwoman located at the south of the country, in the Brabant-Septentrional , with the junction of the Aa and the Mark. Bréda counted: 167908 inhabitants at January 1st, 2005.

History

The Siège of Breda took place during the Guerre Thirty Year old. The seat began the August 27th 1624 and lasted more than 9 months, the city going only on June 5th.

The Traité of Breda was signed the July 23rd 1667, by the England, the Republic of the United Provinces, the France and the Denmark. In a precipitated way, it put a term at the Second war anglo-Dutchwoman (1665-1667)
