Boussoit

Boussoit (in Walloon Bouswa ) is a section of the Belgian city of Louvière, located in Wallonia in the Province of Hainaut.

It was a common to whole share before the fusion of the communes of 1977.

Boussoit already exists at the 10th century and was called Buxeide , in Latin Buxetum ( buxum “boxwood” and - etum suffix of place), meaning “the place where the boxwood pushes”. French suffix - ois or - ILO was used since.
