Bounty islands
The Îles Bounty () constitute an small group of 13 small islands and many rocks in the south of the Pacific Ocean which form territorialement part of the New Zealand.
They are located between 179o 02 ' and 179o 07 ' Is, and 47o 40 ' and 47o 45 ' South, to 650 km in the south-east of the Southern Island of the Zealand News.
These islands are uninhabited by the human ones. However, they are very largely populated Pingouin S and of albatross. At the 19th century, it was even an appreciated place of hunting for the Phoque.
Divided into a western group and a group is, these islands are small. Their entire surface is of only 1,3 km ². The whole of the archipelago, in its longest axis extends on 5 km and its point highest culminate with 90 meters with the top of the sea level.
They were discovered by the Captain William Bligh in 1788 which gave them the name of its ship, just a few months before the celebrates mutiny.
The principal archipelago of these islands east exactly to the Antipodes of the common Frenchwoman of Face-Ménard (Country of the Loire).
