Boundary-line
Noyon is a common department of the Oise, chief town of canton in the area Picardy, in France.
Its inhabitants is the Noyonnais . The name thrown is the Fond of delicacies ones of Boundary-line.

History
- Formerly, certain authors placed at Noyon, the Noviodunum Suessionum , capital of the tribe of the Suessions, where Jules César establishes his camp before turning to Bellovaques (the Guerre of Gaules, II, 12). But, this assumption was for a long time abandoned.
- the town of Noviomagus was rested by the Romans. It belonged to the city of the Viromanduens. It was a small town which profited from its position near the valley of Oise.

- In 531, Saint Medard moves there the seat of évêché of the civitas Viromanduorum .

Boundary-line during the First World War 1914-18
- the city is taken as of September 1914 at the time of the German offensive passing by Belgium and folding back themselves on Paris.
- Seven/Oct. 14, after the battles on the Marne and at the time of the race to the sea, the face is stabilized in the valley of Oise downstream from Noyon.
- March 17: The German army reduced its face between Arras and Soissons and evacuates Noyon.
- on March 26th, 1918, Noyon is again taken by the German forces (battles of Boundary-line of the 23 to the 25/03). The violent ones engagements in the vicinity (of the Mount-Renaud of the 26/03 to the 30/04) will involve his bombardment by the French in order to limit the German logistic capacities.
