In June l896 it takes the direction of the review of Christmas, founded in March 1895 by the P. Vincent of Paul Bailly who also wanted asresser with the children: the nomination takes place without ceremony or another preparation. “From tomorrow, you will make Christmas! ”. One can say that this choice was happier: the P. Claude is given entire as of the first day with what is not only one work of press
but an authentic key movement spiritual Formation for youth. it becomes the heart of this children's paper, under the inspiration and the ideal of the Child of the crib. By humility, it signs the articles of the pseudonym “Nouvelet”, whereas its predecessor, the abbot Chardavoine future Eutrope Father, had chosen “Christmas” and it is under this patronym that it becomes not only known, but liked by a whole avid youth of culture, faith and Christian engagement. The movement noelist very quickly became besides a seedbed of religious vocations and an apostolic cradle of militancy for female youth. Bus of the constellation of the reviews of Christmas, addressed gradually to particularized mediums, is also born in the same spirit a pleiad from movements and hearths from life which are claimed some: committees noelists, union noelist, schola, academy… with the means of action and influence most various, but always marked with the corner of this spirit of enthusiastic and generous youth which Memorandum-Christmas condenses. During thirty and one years, the P. Claude is identified with this work which, left like the grain senevé, becomes an immense tree. Often he solicits his superiors of the assistances or collaborators, but none can be long-term volunteer there, before the arrival of the P. Marie-Etienne Point into 1922 which will take the changing after 1927.
