Boston Consulting Group

The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is a famous cabinet of Conseil in strategy. It belongs to the Big Three , in company of McKinsey & Company and Bain & Company. In 2007, Vault classifies BCG with the 2nd position of its classification of the 50 larger world cabinets. The BCG was created in 1963 by Bruce Henderson, former student of Harvard and old consulting consultancy in strategy Arthur D. Little.

The cabinet is the author of the Matrice BCG, a grid of evaluation of the activities of a Entreprise. The cabinet also launched the concept of time-to-market . 10 years after its creation, a certain number of consultants of the BCG left the cabinet to found Bain & Company.

Recruitment is very selective there. In France, in practice, there are only very few profiles which do not come from best the Universities: Polytechnic, Mines of Paris, Central Paris, the Highways Departments, Paris Telecom, Supélec, HEC, ES, ESCP-EAP, EM Lyon, Sciences Po.
