Geography
History
Borough-faithful was at the beginning of the 20th century an important site of foundries and émailleries, which durably polluted the grounds of the commune. According to the epistolary testimony of a former inhabitant (letter of October 2000 addressed to the mayor), the basement of the streets of the center of the village is stabilized by sands of foundry. Borough-faithful is today the site of establishment of a factory of Recyclage of the Plomb, pertaining to White the Métal company. Shown to have seriously polluted the site and poisoned the inhabitants, the company was condemned the April 25th 2005 by the magistrates' court of Charleville-Mézières to 100.000 euros of fine and 577.000 euros of damages for pollution of the environment. The Court of Appeal of Rheims has, in November 2006, confirmed the fine, but débouté the plaintiffs. That confirms that the company did not respect the law but without to have endangered the life of the inhabitants of the village. If not, Borough-Faithful was the place of turning of the film the Potatos into 1969 of Claude Autant-Lara.
