Bogor

Bogor is a city of the west of Java which counts approximately 800  000 inhabitants. It was called Buitenzorg (" without souci" in Dutch) at the time colonial and was the residence of the governor-general of the the Indies Dutchwomen at the time of Hermann Willem Daendels (of 1808 to 1811) and of Thomas Stamford Raffles (of 1811 to 1814).

Geography

Bogor is surrounded by Volcan S dead the such Gunung Gede and the Gunung Salak and knows more storms than any other point of planet. In Indonesia, the city is also known like Kota hujan , the City of the rain.

History

The site of Pakuan, the capital of the kingdom hindouist Sunda be born from Pajajaran (1333-1579) was in current Bogor. Kebun Raya in het stadscentrum. Tevens huisvest of stad Institute Pertanian Bogor, Bogor-landbouw Universiteit, welke een uitgestrekte Campus heeft COp verschillende plaatsen in om of stad.

Bogor is gelegen aan of doorgaande road van Jakarta naar Bandung, welke leidt over of Puncak - not. Ten zuiden van of stad zijn grote (van oorsprong door Nederlanders opgezette) theeplantages. -->
