Bobby Smith (hockey)

Robert " Bobby" Smith (born the February 12th 1958 with North Sydney in Nova Scotia) is a former player of professional Hockey which evolved/moved at the station of before in the National league of hockey of 1978 with 1993 for the North Stars of Minnesota and the Canadian of Montreal.

Career

He played his hockey junior at the 67 ' S of Ottawa of the Ontario Hockey League where he was dominating - he establishes the records of the league for the greatest number of points and master keys during one season in 1977-78, with 69 goals and 123 master keys for 192 points. He beat thus Wayne Gretzky Greyhounds de Sault co. Marie in the race with the championship of the meters of this season by 10 points, and he gained the Trophée Eddie Powers. That was worth to him to be selected with the very first row at the time of the Repêchage amateur of the LNH 1978 by the North Stars of Minnesota.

It gained the Trophée Calder in 1978-79 and the Coupe Stanley in 1986 with the Canadian of Montreal. He is today the majority shareholder of the Mooseheads de Halifax, for which his/her son Daniel Smith plays.
