Bobby Joe Morrow

Bobby Joe Morrow , born the October 15th 1935, is old a American athlete , victorious of three gold medals to the Olympic Games of summer of 1956.

Biography

Bobby Joe Morrow was born with Harlingen with the Texas and grew in a farm with San Benito. Before becoming a sprinter, Morrow played American football for San Benito High School. Morrow also ran in sprint for the Abilene Christian University.

Morrow which had gained the title AAU over 110 yard in 1955 had its best season in 1956, which in made of them the choice of the Sports Illustrated as sportsman of the year. Morrow gained the title NCAA and confirmed its title AAU. Later in the season, it left to Melbourne for the plays. It returned from there with three titles.

Morrow initially gained the 100 m. Then it led the American raid on 200 m, equalizing with the passage the Olympic record. It gained then the relay by establishing new world records with Ira Murchison, Leamon King and Thane Baker.

After the plays, Morrow continued its domination at the national level but was withdrawn in 1958. It tried a comeback for the Olympic Games of summer of 1960 but failed in qualifications.

Bobby Joe Morrow then became farmer and logger.

In October 2006, the stage of San Benito High School received the name of Bobby Morrow Stadium.
