Boat of Thésée
The boat of Thésée is a Expérience of thought written by Stephan Ferret.
According to the Greek legend, brought back by Plutarque, Thésée would have started from Athens to fight the Minotaure. On his return, winner, his boat was preserved by the Athenians: they withdrew the worn boards and replaced them - so that the resplendent boat still centuries later. Then, two points of view were opposed: the ones said that this boat was the same one, the others that maintenance had made very an other boat of it.
There is another question, corollary: if the boards of the boat had been kept and that it later had been rebuilt, would this be still the same boat?
It is here, a question about the gasoline and the identity of the things.
