Blue fin tuna
The blue fin tunas are the largest fish species of the family of the tunas.
One distinguishes three stocks from blue fin tuna in the world:
- the blue fin Tuna of North, or blue fin Tuna of the Atlantic, or simply blue fin tuna: Thunnus thynnus
- the blue fin Tuna of the South: Thunnus maccoyii
- the blue fin Tuna of the Pacific: Thunnus orientalis
Each species is different and independent of other stocks. All are surpêchées and threatened of extinction.
