Blow of shunt
The blow of shunt allows the elimination of electric 80% of the defect on the network HTA, which are homopolar defects (phase > ground).
These defects are created, for example by a bird posed between the spark-gaps (device allowing the flow the ground of an overpressure whose origin would be love at first sight). This defect can become “permanent” if a Electric arc is created, and that it does not die out all alone.
The blow of shunt consists in putting during 200 ms the phase at fault directly at the ground in the Source station, which will result in to make assemble the ground to the potential of the phase.
Consequently, the terminal voltage of the defect will be quasi null, because equivalent, and will make it possible the defect car-to be eliminated (extinction of the electric arc because falls of the bird, for example).
If the defect is not eliminated, the procedure of release follows the blow of shunt.
