Blic

Blic is a Serb Quotidien published in Belgrade.

Presentation

Blic is a Tabloïd which was founded in 1996 by Austrian business men ; it appeared for the first time the September 16th 1996. Since 2004, it belongs to the Swiss press group Ringier. Drawn with: 120000 specimens, it is one of the daily newspapers most read Serbia.

End 1996 and beginning 1997, it was one of the rare newspapers to give an account of the demonstrations against the mode of Slobodan Milošević. In front of the threats and the intimidations of which it was the object, it had to give up giving an account of the protests against the mode. On the other hand, some journalists of Blic, close to the opposition, have blow left Blic to create their own press agency, Glas javnosti , which exists still today.

Since its foundation, Blic created several other publications: Blic-Europa (until May 31st, 2006), Blic Zena , Blic Sweaters , Euro Blic (for the Republika Srpska) as well as supplements with its principal edition.
