Bill Durnan

Bill Durnan (January 22nd 1916 with Toronto, Ontario - October 31st 1972) was a professional player of Hockey in North America.

Career

It evolved/moved as a goalkeeper for the Canadian of Montreal of the National league of hockey. He played seven seasons within the National league of hockey and was Ambidextre. He is the last goalkeeper captain of his team of the LNH.

As of its first season in 1943 in the LNH, it receives the title of the best guard of the league (Trophée Vézina), performance which it will carry out the three following seasons like in 1949 and 1950. It will put an end to its career in 1950, feeling able to support the stress of a career of hockey player. Despite everything, it will have marked the LNH during years by making a success of a record which will have lasted a long time of four Blanchissage S consecutive (either a 321 minutes total without taking goals). This record was beaten only in 2004 by Brian Boucher of the Coyotes of Phoenix.

In 1964, it allowed with the Temple of is re-elected hockey and dies into 1972 of a problem of Rein whereas it suffered from diabetes since years.
