Bigdil
Bigdil was a television game presented by the comic one and organizer of Télévision Vincent Lagaf', helped by Bill, virtual Extraterrestre which were crushed by accident on studio 107 of the Plaine Saint-Denis, Gafettes and the TEAM Lagaf'.
Inspired of the American emission Let' S Make has Deal , it was launched the February 2nd 1998 on TF1 and was followed each evening by 6 million televiewers during nearly six years, until July 23rd 2004, where it disappears from the antenna.
The concept
The play broke up into 5 tests called " Dil" :-
3 various interior tests
- the " Signal 3" at the time of third Dil: musical play with Ramoutcho (alias Bud), DJ Aspé and Loulou Torres
- 1 test outside during fifth Dil.
the Bigathlon, together of tests with records and kitties, made its appearance with the re-entry 2000 at the time of the 2nd Dil .
The candidates were to make a success of a test rather amusing to gain a certain amount of money or gifts coming from Bill, which had its saucer filled of it. Arrived at half of the play, the candidate had the possibility of stopping the play and of taking what was behind the curtain (or the garage at the time of the last season). That could be as well a car as a bundle of leeks, but the interest of the play lay in the fact that the candidate was unaware of completely what hid behind the curtain.
If it continued the play, it could again choose to take what was behind the curtain, with the risk to lose all its profits.
At the end of the emission, at the time of final Dil called Bigdil simply, the candidates are classified according to the profits which they obtained from strongest towards more fabile. The first has the choice to keep its gift or to exchange it against one of these three boxes, and so on until the last could give the whole of their profits concerned to play “screen”: they were to choose between three boxes representing the family of Bill: Lolilola the sister (become Zora as of the re-entry 2000), Toyoyo the brother and Tolilola the mother. These boxes respectively hid a car, an intermediate gift (a voyage for example) and a gift of very low value (like a pair the Charente-native ones).
Anecdotes
- At the beginnings of the emission, Vincent Lagaf' carried costumes to the colors flashantes, ties with the Tex Avery, as well as gaiters. It carried then more sober behaviors.
- Bill and its family are originating in the Fricus planet. This explains the abundance of money and gifts that the extraterrestrial guard in its saucer, bound for the candidates.
- One day, at the time of the telephone play, the question was: " Which is the characteristic of a face rubicond? " The woman at the end of the wire, which was called Gisele, was drunk.
